Different kinds of writing

Someone could get to thinking that I have fallen out of the writing habit, given that it’s been a while between posts.

Not the case. Every day I do some kind of writing: content for websites at work, documents for organizations I volunteer with, or simple journaling for myself. Those words end up in the world, but not in this place.

One of my favourite daily writing practices involves . Every day (or most days anyway) I craft a very short story through the hashtag #vss365. That is, a Twitter-length story based on a prompt word, 365 days a year. Here a few of my favourites.

What kind of writing have you been doing lately?

Those tweets are wonderful, Arlene! I’ve shied away from using Twitter–the short length makes it seem trivial, probably a mistaken idea. I’m rethinking this now: Your content is marvelous!

I admire all those, like you, who can write creatively even with a full-time day job. I didn’t begin writing blog posts and books until after I retired from teaching. By the way, beginning in June I’m switching to blogging twice-monthly. ;-D

What kind of writing have you been doing lately? I’ve been tweeting more often and trying to remember to use Instagram where I add a bit of context [words] to my pics. And writing lists. Many lists, which may not be the kind of writing you’re talking about but that’s where I’m using my wordsmith skills lately.
