I write short stories, and I’m working on a book about the Montreal Expos. Four of my short stories are chapters in the book.
Here are some highlights:
“Ruby Slippers” published in DESCANT magazine, shortlisted in a Writers’ Union of Canada Short Prose Competition and winner in the 2012 National Capital Writing Contest (NCWC).
“Casserole Platelets” published in Writer’s Digest short story collection.
“Life Expos-ed” published in Byline and first place winner in the 2104 NCWC
“Open” received second place in the 2011 NCWC.
“Periods, Pads and Stuff” placed third in the 2011 NCWC.
“A Stone in the Temple” received honourable mention in the 2016 NCWC.
“This year’s contest attracted close to 19,000 entries. Your success in the face of such formidable competition speaks highly of your writing talent, and should be a source of great pride as you continue in your writing career.” —Kristen D. Godsey, Editor, Writer’s Digest
